Elon Musk will today test launch his company's new heavy life rocket by sending his own Tesla Roadster into space. The car will be delivered into an orbit similar to that of the planet Mars and allow it to fly around space for the next billion years.
Piloted by a dummy in a space suit (you can make your own lists up for this position) and fitted with 3 cameras to send back pictures of something or nothing.
The new rocket which is really 3 Falcon Xs strapped together can lift 45 tonne but in practice will launch much less to allow it to retain enough fuel for its return to earth and recovery.
It can launch about 8 tonne into high earth orbit and much more into Low Earth orbit.
