The New Cosmos of Photography is a contest sponsored by Canon Inc.
The New Cosmos of Photography support photographers’ attempts to create still images or videos/movies or a fusion of the two, that go beyond previous photographic concepts and genres. We regard still images and videos/movies to be continuous and consecutive. We are hoping for brand-new video works that no one has ever seen before.
Therefore, we encourage entries of works that provide a glimpse of tomorrow’s photography and open up new scenes for photography and art.
Entries are limited to original photographic works. Photographic works are defined as image data taken with any device, including smartphones and digital cameras, capable of taking still images or videos. Images, videos/movies and a fusion of the two are acceptable.
Works that are not recognized as photographic expression may not be accepted.

• Excellence Awards (7): JPY 200,000
• Honorable Mention Awards (14): JPY 30,000
