Request to join MAP from @mermaidvampire

Mayday! Mayday! I come in peace.

The title says it all, this is regarding my intent to be a part of MAP (Minnows Accelerator Project). I read about them 4 days ago here in Steemit as I was scanning pages and in that same day I sent delegations because I believed in their cause and I want to support it. I have read some articles regarding their initiatives and I feel the need to be a part of it being a minnow myself. I have not much to offer because I'm actually just a plankton in this sea but I think any amount of help really helps when you are trying to make a community.

Helping minnow communities is something I have been fond of since I started in this platform. It is evident in the number of delegations I made to support communities such as minnowbooster, minnowhelper, minnowsupport project shanehug, minnowbootcamp (mbc-meps), minnow writers community through muxxybot and some local minnow communities here in the Philippines, steemitachievers and steempowerupph. I can choose to delegate those little amount to bidbots and earn more but I made a choice to help communities instead because in that way, I think I am creating more impact in the platform.

I want to help because I am getting a lot of help. Generosity is contagious. I believe in this. I have just been here for barely four months and I believe this platform is a good place for solidarity and charity together. Even the poor and powerless can move to get things noticed and helped. I do not have much but through the platform, I was able to uplift and share some things to people regardless of who they are and where they are. It's a wonderful miracle and I don't mean to stop doing it.

I do need support, that's why I associate and participate in Discord communities and other Steemit-oriented groups. I want to be able to help anyhow in shaping communities and connecting with a lot of people that will help me improve and grow as well.

Who am I and what can I offer?

I'm @mermaidvampire. I'm an active Steemian based in the Philippines. I am fairly new in the platform but I can assure you that I believe in it's potential to be a catalyst of change in this world. I love Steemit, I think I love it too much now because of the friends I made along the way and how it has impacted me to rediscover my significance and purpose. It has helped me realize a lot of things about my life and others and humanity as a whole. I am learning a lot from the platform from some people that I look up to that has shown the light of genius ideas I have never seen in any other venue but here, in Steemit.

I'm actively posting on a daily basis.

I am a jack of all trades, but I'm not sure if I'm a master of any. But I do try to post relevant, informative, fun, and inspiring posts here. "A good post," for me, does not need to be the work of genius all the time. I appreciate all genres and I calculate people's efforts for their pieces. I'm part anarchist and I want to tell people to just go find their comfort and be well with it. If a person is good with funny memes then I can respect him for that. If a work shows passion, commitment and love, I think it's a masterpiece. I am a believer of multiple intelligences, so I love variety. I cannot tell you I'd be good with posting just one thing because every now and then I want to experiment and test my limits to try new things. Like others, I also strive to make perfect my own style or find my own niche. I do not compete with others, I am trying to ablaze a path for myself at my own pace.
