Saving Our Online Spaces

in newmedia •  7 years ago

Some of the most incredibly interesting conversations I’ve ever seen on the internet are no longer around. Group discussions of communities weighing in on important matters have been completely lost, in part, to a great lack of insight surrounding the art of archiving.

How can we act as stewards to our digital cultural heritage? Have you seen something on the web you can really appreciate and enjoy? Please — save it. Send to your friends. Continue to collect and share the information and experiences which make you feel whole; because you never know. One day, your copy-pasted image file that motivated you 10 years ago may be the last copy out there. Weird.
