Pretrial hearing of suspect case of e-ID card Setya Novanto has just started. The inaugural session of the House of Representatives 'preruption II' was held on 7 December 2017 yesterday.

The sole judge Kusno called the pretrial judgment likely to be read out next week on December 14, 2017. It refers to Article 82 paragraph 1 letter c where the pre-trial should be completed no later than 7 days.

"If theoretically, read in the KUHAP only in Article 82 paragraph 1 letter D, it is readable, this is the theory, but the practice should not precede the judge, let the judges perform their duties independently," said Kabiro Law and PR Public Relation Abdullah in the building MA, Thursday (7/12).

Meanwhile, Novanto's trial in Corruption Court is scheduled for December 13, 2017. The judge panel that will adjudicate Novanto is the same as the judges who tried three previous defendants Irman, Sugiharto and Andi Narogong.

The difference is that the Chairman of the Assembly, formerly Jhon Halasan Butarbutar, is now replaced by a judge Yanto. The composition of the assemblies that will try Setya Novanto include Yanto, Frangki Tambuwun, Emilia Djajasubagja, Anwar, Ansyori Syaifudin.

When the trial of the Corruption Court's indictment was held on December 14, 2017, a new pretrial ruling would be known the day after. The Supreme Court affirmed the pretrial results will automatically fall.

Abdullah's statement was confirmed by Professor of Criminal Procedure Law of Soedirman University (Unsoed) Prof. Hibnu Nugroho.

"It is a pretrial that the case has already been heard, so if it is only submitted to the PN it is not, but so today, for instance, at 12 November Novanto session is done, autopsy, the indictment reading," explained Professor of Criminal Law Session of Soedirman University ( Unsoed) Prof. Hibnu Nugroho when contacted on Wednesday (6/12).
