Protests In Iran

With three soldiers killed, the UN fears that dozens of people have been killed during this outbreak of protests. These protests come from an increase in petrol prices and began on Friday. A spokesman urged security personnel not to use excessive force, including firing live ammunition, and called for access to the internet to be restored. The internet has even been shutdown .

The sanctions have caused Iran's oil exports to collapse and the value of the rial to plummet, and sent the prices of basic goods soaring.
