The cataríes have begun to buy massively food and water in the middle of the diplomatic crisis that affects the country, according to the Egyptian news portal Youm7. Seven Arab countries have decided to break diplomatic relations with Doha on Monday morning.
"Residents have rushed to the nearest stores and supermarkets and are collecting milk, water, rice and eggs. They carry food with their vehicles and the shelves have been emptied very soon after news of the closure of the border with Arabia Saudi, through which a large flow of goods enters, "explains the portal.
"I've never seen anything like it, people carry carts full of food and water," a Doha resident quoted a resident. Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry has assured that the measures taken by neighboring states "will not affect the lives of the common people or the residents of the emirate."
According to reports from the Al-Jazeera chain, trucks carrying food for this small Arab country form queues on the Saudi side
of the border, as they can not enter after the decision adopted by Riyadh.
