A set back line is an interior buffer line that is off-set from the actual property line. So let's say you have a "20ft setback" requirement off your front property line, you are not suppose to build within that 20 foot space. Same goes for the Side and Back property lines. Different zoning classifications usually have different set back requirement measurements. Hope this helps :)
