EARTH REPORT #1

Having taken over observation duties from my predecessor and only spending a few hours watching them I find this world to be strange. Very strange.

The planet is called Earth by the dominante native language. It's situated in the Virgo Supercluster of galaxies in a galaxy called the Milkyway. It orbits around a 4.5 billion year old G2V star.

My predecessor has left me many notes on the these humans but upon watching them for a few hours now, one note really sticks out to me... They have developed nuclear fusion and possess nuclear weapons. In other words these humans have the capability to destroy their planet and every one in it. This is alarming to me because geopolitical tensions are extremely high and many vital elements that maintain the stability of these societies are eroding at an alarming rate.

The biggest superpower of this planet is the United States Of America (population 321 million), the people have lost faith in one of these vital elements. Their political system and they have elected and outsider for the first time in decades, Donald Trump. The former TV relality star and bussiness tycoon won the presidency because median paying jobs have been dissapearing for years forcing people to take up 2 or more part time jobs while inflation slowly destroyed any decent standard of living.
Every one seems to be fighting each other, black vs white, man vs woman, cristian vs muslin, rich vs poor, conservative vs progressive.

In the few hours that I've spent watching them I've noticed the degradation of 2 other extremely vital elements that enables any civilization to sustain itself. Their method comunication, language is slowly being restricted and logic is slowly being abandoned.
The US has over 1800 nuclear weapons.
