DAMASCUS, SYRIA (7:00 P.M)- A Palestinian teenager was killed at a West Bank checkpoint, by Israeli soldiers.
On Friday, the Israeli military confirmed that its troops opened fire upon a vehicle, at a road block near Ramallah. 17 year old, Qasim Abbasi from East Jerusalem, was declared dead from the shooting, said the Palestinian Health Ministry. Qasim Abbasi was killed late Thursday night.
According to eyewitness testimonies, the 17 year old was shot in the back, at an Israeli established roadblock. The driver of the vehicle attempted to perform a U-turn, in order to leave the area, an Israeli soldier then opened fire upon the car.
The Israeli Occupation Army, declared that the car was shot at after it refused to stop. However, physical evidence suggests that the bullets fired at the car, were not from the right angle to corroborate this claim.
The surviving two described the murder, saying, "it happened for no reason".
Since the start of 2018, 71 Palestinians have allegedly been killed in the West Bank, by Israeli forces.
