Abkhazian Prime Minister Gennady Gaguliya was killed in a car accident in the Gudauta District in the Republic of Abkhazia on the evening of 8 August.
Reportedly, Gaguliya was part of a convoy of the Abkhaz official delegation returning from Syria when another vehicle collided with the prime minister’s car.
According to the local Ministry of Internal Affairs, the driver and security guards of the prime minister were also injured in the collision.
The local prosecutor’s office has launched an investigation.
