US National Security Advisor John Bolton argued with reporters about listening to recordings related to the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, during a press briefing at the White House in Washington DC on Monday.
Bolton explained that he hadn't listened to the tapes saying "no, I haven't listened to it", adding "I don't speak Arabic."
He went on to question the utility of listening to the tapes as a non-Arabic speaker, saying "what am I going to learn from [it]? I mean if they were speaking Korean I wouldn't learn any more from it either."
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders also answered questions from reporters.
Sanders dismissed the Trump administration's own recently released report on climate change, which was endorsed by 13 federal agencies and states that climate change is already having a negative impact across the US, as "not based on facts."
She also touched on the ongoing special counsel investigation into potential meddling in the 2016 elections stating that "the entire administration has been fully cooperative with the special counsel's office" but added that "we also know that there was no collusion and we're ready for this to wrap up."
