BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:30 P.M.) - The Islamic State's (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) last Euphrates pocket is on the verge of collapse as the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) advance from the recently captured town of Hajin.

Backed by U.S. Coalition airstrikes, the Syrian Democratic Forces have advanced further south of Hajin, pushing their way into the towns of Abu Hassan and Abu Al-Khater.

While some activists claim the Syrian Democratic Forces have captured the aforementioned towns, other reports have said that intense clashes are still ongoing between the two parties.

Meanwhile, at the southern part of the Euphrates pocket, the Islamic State is attempting to retake the town of Baghouz Tahtani from the Syrian Democratic Forces.

The Islamic State has failed to enter Baghouz Tahtani, but they are reportedly making another attempt to fracture the Syrian Democratic Forces' lines at the town.
