BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:20 A.M.) - According to local activists in the Daraa Governorate, a deal has been reached between the rebel forces an Syrian government to halt the battle inside the provincial capital.
The activists claim via social media that the rebels have agreed to reconcile with the Syrian government in the Daraa Al-Balad, Tariq Al-Sad, Al-Manishiyah, and Daraa Camp districts of the provincial capital.
All rebels from the Free Syrian Army (FSA) that want to remain inside the city will be given the opportunity to settle their cases with the Syrian government.
The rebels from the Free Syrian Army that don't want reconciliation and the jihadists from Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham will be evacuated to the western countryside of the Daraa Governorate.
As part of all reconciliation agreements, the rebel forces must hand in their heavy and medium weapons to the Syrian government before the deal can be executed.
Al-Masdar is awaiting a response from the Syrian Army to verify the validity of these reports.
