BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:40 P.M.) - The Syrian and Palestinian forces in the Yarmouk Camp raised their national flags over the Yarmouk Camp District this afternoon.
The flag raising ceremony was held on 30th Street, where some of the most intense battles took place in the Yarmouk Camp.

With the Islamic State's departure from southern Damascus this past weekend, the Syrian military is now in full control of Damascus for the first time in seven years.
The next objective for the Syrian Army is the southern provinces of Syria, which are partially controlled by the rebel forces.
