DAMASCUS, SYRIA (3:30 P.M.) - An entire family was massacred when the US-coalition bombed a residential area in Syria's Raqqa as the city still suffers a dire humanitarian crisis under the reign of Kurdish militia.

The Badran family has moved around to several areas as battles against the Islamic State raged in eastern Syria. They finally found refuge in the Syrian city of Raqqa before the Kurdish forces launches a full-scale offensive to re-take the city.

The offensive was strongly supported by US airstrikes which killed more than 30 members of the family. Only four members survived the massacre which killed a 1-year old child.

Rasha badran, one of the survivors, recalled the horror of the massacre to Amnesty International.

"Only I, my husband and his brother and cousin survived, I could neither move nor speak. Then my husband and his brother found me. It was dark and we could not see anything. We called out but nobody else answered; nobody moved".

"In the morning we found Tulip's body," Rasha said. "Our baby was dead. We buried her near there, by a tree."

Human rights organizations accused the United States of killing hundreds of civilians during its military operation to remove the Islamic State from its former de-facto capital; Raqqa.

Much of the city's infrastructure has been reduced to rubbles. Neither the US nor its Kurdish proxies has yet initiated a rebuilding process in the war-devastated city.
