BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:40 P.M.) - Hezbollah's Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah congratulated the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) on their victory in Damascus during his televised speech on the 18th anniversary of Israel's withdrawal from Lebanon.

"As I have stated before, the Syrian leadership and its allies will not allow Syria to fall. On this day, we congratulate the Syrian Arab Army on the full liberation of Damascus as it achieves victory after victory," the Hezbollah chief began.

Sayyed Nasrallah would then touch on a number of topics, including the recent U.S. sanctions against Iran and their allies.

"On sanctions; previously there were Hezbollah personnel sanctioned by the U.S. and now there are new lists. This won’t affect us, it is only aimed at isolating us from those who want to sit or meet with us," Sayyed Nasrallah stressed.

"It is dangerous when it affects Lebanese business and commercial who need to come and go," he continued.

The Hezbollah chief would then discuss the formation of a new Lebanese government, following the recent elections.

Sayyed Nasrallah would conclude by announcing that his political party has named Minister of Parliament Hassan Fadallah to lead the charge to eliminate corruption inside the country.
