BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:45 P.M.) - The Islamic State's (ISIS/ISIL/Daesh) reign in southwest Syria is nearing its end, as the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) closes in on the terrorist group's last positions in the Daraa Governorate.

Backed by heavy airstrikes and artillery strikes, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) resumed their operations in the Yarmouk Basin region this afternoon, targeting several towns that were still under the occupation of the ISIL-affiliated Jaysh Khaled bin Yarmouk forces.

According to a military source in Daraa, the Syrian Arab Army managed to liberate the towns of Nafia'a , Abu Rafah, and Shajarah after a short battle with the Jaysh Khaled bin Walid terrorists.

The Syrian Arab Army is now working to clear the mines and IEDs that were left behind by the Jaysh Khaled bin Walid terrorists before they withdrew south towards the mountains near the borders of the occupied Golan Heights and Jordan.

As a result of this advance by the Syrian Arab Army, the Jaysh Khaled bin Walid terrorists are now in control of 1 percent of the Daraa Governorate.

The Syrian Arab Army should be able to take control of this last 1 percent that is under the Islamic State's control in the coming days, as the latter has virtually nowhere to go and very little provisions to maintain a long fight against the government.
