BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:10 P.M.) - The Kurdish forces managed to foil a terrorist attack in Hasakah city, yesterday, local activists reported this morning.
According to activists, between the hours of 7:00 A.M.) and 8:00 A.M. (local time) on Thursday, the Kurdish-led People's Protection Units (YPG) arrested a man that planted an explosive device under a vehicle belonging to the YPG in Hasakah city.
After the device was discovered by the YPG fighters, a group of bomb disposal experts arrived and deactivated it.
A large-scale search operation was initiated by the YPG this morning to find the perpetrators.
The explosive device which got deactivated consisted of 3kg explosive material, tools and a mobile phone.
