Large demonstration held in Al-Hasakah against upcoming Turkish invasion

BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:00 P.M.) - A large demonstration was held in Al-Hasakah, today, denouncing the upcoming Turkish military invasion in northern Syria.

Hundreds of people in the provincial capital of Al-Hasakah were photographed waving the flag of the Syrian Arab Republic, while also hold posters of President Bashar Al-Assad.

The demonstrators chanted against the Turkish military invasion and their current presence in several parts of the country.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the demonstrators affirmed their support of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Syria's national sovereignty.

"The people asserted their readiness to sacrifice themselves to defend the homeland in the face of any aggression and to preserve the territorial integrity of Syria and the dignity of its people," the SANA report added.
