BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:00 P.M.) - Lebanese President General Michel Aoun met with the Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl at his Baabda Palace this morning.

During the meeting, President Aoun told Kneissl that Israel is using these claims to justify their attacks on the Lebanese Airport and its corresponding suburbs.

"Such claims conceal a new Israeli threat to Lebanese sovereignty and target our international airport," President Aoun told Minister Kneissl, who called on the President this morning at the Baabda palace, at the top of a delegation.

Aoun called on Austria and the world to be aware of Israel's schemes against Lebanon, especially as it continues its violations of international resolutions, including resolution 1701.

"Lebanon will face any Israeli assault against its sovereignty," the President stressed.

Last week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu displayed images of alleged Hezbollah missile sites near the Rafic Hariri International Airport in southern Beirut.

Both the Lebanese government and Hezbollah have dismissed these claims, adding that Israel is using these allegations to justify their future attacks.
