BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:00 A.M.) - The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/Daesh) suffered heavy casualties in southwest Syria this past weekend, as airstrikes from the Russian Aerospace Forces mercilessly hammered the terrorist group's positions.

Russian jets repeatedly bombarded the ISIL-affiliated militants from Jaysh Khaed bin Walid on Monday, inflicting heavy damage on the terrorist group's defenses.

These Russian airstrikes would prove incredibly effective, as the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) was able to fracture the Islamic State's front-lines and liberate the towns of 'Aabdeen and Jamleh in the Yarmouk Basin region.

As shown in the video footage below, the infantry units from the Syrian Arab Army's Tiger Forces branch managed to break through the Islamic State's defenses after the Russian Aerospace Forces hammered the terrorist group's positions.

Since liberating 'Aabdeen and Jamleh, the Syrian Arab Army has taken control of the Islamic State stronghold of Shajarah near the Jordanian border.
