BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:50 P.M.) - The Russian cargo ship, RoRo Sparta II, has reportedly arrived to the Port of Tartous in western Syria, today, Yoruk Isik of the Bosphorous Observer told Al-Masdar News this morning.

According to Isik, the RoRo Sparta II made the long journey from the Russian port-city of Novorossiysk earlier this week to the Port of Tartous.

The Russian ship is believed to be carrying a large quantity of military equipment that is meant to be distributed to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).

Some rumors have surfaced that this Russian ship is carrying the S-300 system; however, these claims still remain unfounded.
