BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:00 P.M.) - The Gulf-backed forces scored a major breakthrough in the Hodeidah Governorate, today, after their troops cracked the Houthi lines and entered the strategic Hodeidah Airbase.
Led by the Yemeni Republican Guard, the Gulf-backed troops seized several parts of the Hodeidah Airbase, including a number of aircraft, after a fierce battle with the Houthi forces that were defending the installation.
As shown in the video below, the Gulf-backed forces are inside the Hodeidah Airbase and they are in control of a couple MiG-21 jets:
While clashes continue at the Hodeidah Airbase, the Saudi Coalition has been providing much needed air assistance to the Gulf-backed troops, as they pave the way for a new advance.
