BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:45 A.M.) - The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continued their field operations inside the Deir Ezzor province last night, targeting the last areas controlled by the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) east of the Euphrates River.

Backed by U.S. Coalition airstrikes, the Syrian Democratic Forces were able to once again enter an ISIS-held town east of the Euphrates after fierce battle with the terrorist group.

According to a report from local activists in Deir Ezzor, the Syrian Democratic Forces entered the small town of Al-Kamshah after breaking through the Islamic State's first line of defense.

The Syrian Democratic Forces are now in control of at least half of Al-Kamshah, leaving only the southern part of the town still under the occupation of the Islamic State.

Once Al-Kamshah is captured by the Syrian Democratic Forces, they will be able to attack the northern part of Al-Shafah for the first time during this war.
