BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:30 P.M.) - The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continued their field operations inside the recently liberated Al-Safa region of northeast Al-Sweida this past weekend.
Backed by their Russian military advisers, the Syrian Army swept through several areas that were previously occupied by the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) in a bid to ensure the security of the Al-Safa region.
During their combing operation, the Syrian Army uncovered another large weapons cache that was hidden by the Daesh terrorists before they surrendered this region.
Furthermore, the Syrian Army discovered a Daesh sleeper cell that was operating in the rocky parts of the Al-Safa region.
The Syrian Army arrested one of the Daesh operatives; he was said to be a foreign combatant that failed to flee the Al-Safa volcanic region before the military liberated all of it.
As shown in the footage below, the foreign Daesh fighter was captured while hiding in Al-Safa:
