Syrian choppers flies over Turkish military positions, demands militants surrender in Idlib

in news •  7 years ago

BEIRUT, 3:45 P.M.) - In a strange move, the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) airdropped thousands of leaflets over the militant-held towns of northern Idlib.

The leaflets called on the militants in the towns of Sarmada and Al-Dana to lay down their arms and join the Syrian Army in their war on terror.

While the Syrian Army has called on these militants to lay down their arms, they are currently blocked by the Turkish military, who currently has twelve observation posts around the rebel areas.

This appears to be a publicity stunt that is meant to show the Syrian military can fly anywhere they want to and that they are determined to capture all of Syria.
