BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:40 P.M.) - The Turkish intelligence apparatus has arrested more than 80 nationals living in foreign countries for alleged links to the 2016 failed coup, Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag stated on Thursday, as quoted by the Hurriyet Daily News.

Bozdag claimed that the Turkish intelligence apparatus arrested the 80+ nationals in 18 foreign countries; however, none of the nations were named.

Last week, Turkey managed to secure the deportation of six Turks living in Kosovo for supporting the coup.

The operation sparked the dismissal of Kosovo’s interior minister and intelligence chief and criticism from human rights groups.

Turkey has reportedly arrested more than 38,000 people over the coup attempt and fired some 110,000 public servants.
