BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:00 A.M.) - The Turkish-backed rebels in northern Hama are struggling to hold their ground in northwest Syria as Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham seizes several areas in the Hama, Idlib, and Aleppo provinces.

According to rebel activists via social media, Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham captured at least four towns in northern Hama, today, along with a number of points near the Idlib axis.

The activists claimed that Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham managed to capture the towns of Shahranaz, Jurin, Sheir Maghar, and Al-Midan in the northern countryside of the Hama Governorate overnight.

In addition to their advance in northern Hama, the jihadist group also seized the towns of Al-Dirwanah and Shawelin in the Idlib province.

This latest advance by Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham comes just hours after they scored a major advance in the northeastern countryside of the Idlib Governorate.

Some rebel activists have claimed that Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham captured the key city of Saraqib; however, there has been no confirmation.
