BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:30 A.M.) - The U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) scored a big advance in southeast Deir Ezzor, yesterday, after renewing their offensive against the so-called "Islamic State" (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) east of the Euphrates.

Backed by heavy airstrikes from the U.S.-led Coalition, the Syrian Democratic Forces managed to break into Daesh's new capital, Hajin, after overrunning their defenses in the northeastern part of the town.

According to reports, the Syrian Democratic Forces advanced into the northern sector of Hajin; this resulted in the capture of the Hajin Hospital and several corresponding neighborhoods inside this Euphrates River Valley town.

The Syrian Democratic Forces are now looking to advance deeper inside of Hajin as their allies from the U.S.-led Coalition heavily bombard the Daesh supply lines to the town.

Hajin has become Daesh's de-facto capital in Syria and Iraq after they suffered a series of losses in Al-Raqqa, Deir Ezzor, Mosul, Al-Anbar, and Al-Hasakah.
