DAMASCUS, SYRIA (2:10 P.M.) - More of the Islamist rebels' hideouts and caches are exposed as the Syrian forces continue wide-scale mop-up operations in the recently-liberated towns and villages of East Ghouta.
Yesterday, an underground field hospital was unearthed in Kafr Batna town, which was extensively used by al-Qaeda-linked militants of Faylaq al-Rahman.
According to a military source, the hospital – located at the basement of a multiple-stories building – is connected to other minor field hospitals and a HQ base via a 500 meter-long tunnel.
Thousands of ultraconservative militants and their families left their East Ghouta towns to the country's north as per an evacuation deal with the Syrian government.
