Arsenal opened the scoring in the 42nd minute. Starting from a corner, Nketiah took advantage of the rebound and immediately tore the Dundalk goal. Score 1-0 for Arsenal. Two minutes later, Arsenal scored another goal through Joe Willock's action. Receiving feedback from Nketiah, Willock immediately fired a right-footed kick into the Dundalk goal. Score 2-0 for the advantage while Arsenal lasted until halftime.
