It seems like so many of the traditional news channels only cover the President's Tweets. They don't tell us what's really going on in the world. So I created my own (hopefully) 24/7 news channel on Twitch. Here's the link:
It's almost completely automated. At this point, I only need to refresh the data at least once or twice per day (and soon I think I'll get that part automated too). It gets the news information online and uses a proprietary artificial intelligence to write the news script based on what it learns from the web. Then it renders the script with text-to-speech technology into a whole lot of audio files.
The real magic happens inside Second Life (the VR world where the news stream is assembled), that's where one of my game characters is currently reading the news script with those text-to-speech audio files. I even set up a nice little news desk for them to sit at while they read the news.
The NewsShow Channel is intended to be a parody of traditional news shows. I'm not trying to compete with the real news. I'll probably post these news scripts here on Steem for those who prefer to read. But in the mean time, enjoy the live stream! And feel free to follow NewsShow on Twitch :)

I had to do some programming in a couple of different coding languages. But if you know how to code then you could probably make one. Basically, I had to buy a license to use an Artificial Intelligence that can write the news based on the data I give it (I wasn't good enough at coding to program the AI part on my own). Then I needed to write a program that feeds the AI with information from the web, and takes the output from the AI to convert into audio with text-to-speech. Then I had to make a HUD in Second Life to show the weather and the news ticker at the bottom. And finally play the audio through the microphone input channel to make the avatar move their mouth like they're talking :)
It was a lot of work and took me about a week to do. But it was really fun and I think it's worth it. The only thing left to do now is make everything run on a timer so that it can be 100% automatic.

Balabolka is good, it's compatible with the free Microsoft voices. Another good one is ESpeak-NG, it's compatible with Mbrola voices.

You might want to consider switching over to Steemleo.com FYI.

This is really cool! I'm watching it right now and there are not many viewers, however this is an interesting concept and I would love to know how the ai works! Thank you, I'm glad you like it. I've heard that it's difficult for new streamers to get started on twitch, but I think this channel has a good start. As long as I keep it going then hopefully the crowd will grow.
I don't know much about how the artificial intelligence works, that's the part that I didn't make. But from what I can gather from the documentation, it seems to have a specific approach with the sentence and word choices. Basically when you give it some information, the AI writes fresh unique content about it. It's really amazing.
