Turkey, released 8 Amnesty activists

Surprise decision in the first hearing of the trial of 11 Turkish and foreign activists accused of complicity in the coup in July 2016, with the judge who decreed the release of eight Amnesty activists in jail.
The prosecutor had called for the release of seven of the eight defendants who waited for the prison trial, requesting the continuation of the detention for one accused, Veli Acun, while three were free with the conditional sentence.
Liberate, then, after 115 days, the director of Amnesty Turkey, Idil Eser, a German citizen, Peter Steudtner and the Swedish Ali Gharawi. The activists were finished in handcuffs at the beginning of July during a seminar on the island of Buyukada.
On the other hand, Taner Kilic is currently holding the presidency, which tomorrow will appear before a court in Izmir in another "terrorism" trial.
Although the judge did not find the extremes to continue the detention of the activists, the accusation of being part of the Fetullah Gulen's gang network, considered to be the mind of the failed coup on July 15, 2016, remains pending.
