Why a COVID-19 outbreak in South Africa could be, different..?

A lot has been said about the Coronavirus epidemic that has now reached South African shores. The message largely seems to be “don’t panic” - from the government and “airwave expert” GPs at least - although some people have accused the media of over-hyping. I can’t comment on that much, because the LAST people I follow for advise or information on something like this, is specifically the South African media, but “mainstream” media in general too.

But I’ve had to tolerate a tiny bit of it to see what the experts said, and some of them were also very vocal on social media. But here is what I have have NOT seen them talk about, which to me - joining the stream of internet experts now - seems to spell a pretty hard time for South Africa specifically in the coming few months. Yes, I'm no virology expert, but at least the things I write will be referenced.

_{1) Our public health system}

• I don’t think I need to elaborate

_{2) This does not at all seem to be a “normal” type cold/flu coronavirus as claimed AT ALL}

• I really think people who make this claim should be very careful. In 2015, The Scientist reported that

“The creation of a chimeric SARS-like virus has scientists discussing the risks of gain-of-function research”

• A research team published their efforts to

“...engineer a virus with the surface protein of the SHC014 coronavirus, found in horseshoe bats in China, and the backbone of one that causes human-like severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) in mice.”

• One of the contributors were:

“Key Laboratory of Special Pathogens and Biosafety, Wuhan Institute of Virology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wuhan, China * Xing-Yi Ge & Zhengli-Li Shi”

• People like creator of the Bioweapons Act, Dr Francis Boyle said in early February he believes this is a created biological weapons agent, that leaked from the lab in Wuhan.
  

  I will leave people with that info, to make their own conclusions.
  I’ve read the “debunking article” on the article by The Scientist - it’s
  hilarious.

_{3) High mortality rate in large outbreaks}

• Countries like Italy with severe outbreaks have shown an infection rate and mortality rate FAR beyond normal flu (Italy have a nearly 4% mortality rate), and comparable to the Spanish flu (which had a mortality rate of 2.5% - there is still some debate).

• You can see live updates on infection numbers and reported deaths HERE, free from bias. Just the numbers. Feel free to work some of them out yourself.

_{4) We have a really high level of immune compromised people in the country}

• You can google our HIV numbers yourself, but that is not the only
  responsible condition. I’m sure people intelligent enough to interpret
  this blog will be able to identify what many of them are.

You can see what the general state of preparedness was for Africa at the start of the outbreak, HERE. Note that most countries were only able to start proper testing from around mid February, so the "surprise" at the low number of reported cases on the continent is no surprise.

I haven’t come across the above information much from our
‘airwave experts” (and some other things too, like an unusually long
incubation period) who are telling people it's just a normal flu - but
maybe you can ask them now

UPDATE (4 days later): Since I'm adding an edit anyway [see below], I may as well post an UPDATE - South africa's COVID-19 cases have now reached 17, and we have our first confirmed local infection. And in other news, the "mainstream" media has finally caught on to the point this blog was actually trying to make.

EDIT: I tried to insert as little as possible opinion into this post, since I often get scolded for doing so, but that was clearly a mistake. It has allowed pompous experts who do not take all facts into account to dismiss real events as a conspiracy theory because they are too lazy to think one step further. So, for the record, I did NOT say the virus the was created in the USA in 2015 was the same as COVID-19 that broke out in Wuhan where China’s ONLY bsl-4 lab is (it’s not just “this lab in china”).

I pointed out that the lab in question was a contributor in the research that happened in the United States, that this technology was brought back to China, and hopefully people who express their opinion on the matter DID in fact see that researchers from the same lab in question looked at the virus and found that it is the same type of combination: a type of bat coronavirus (that china has an abundance of to study), combined with a mostly SARS “body”. It’s not the same virus that was created, but it is the same idea. (Why would you try to combine a bat corona virus with SARS? To make it more infectious probably - but that’s another story)

Now, you can believe that the Chinese (Wuhan) leg of this research project in North Carolina went back to their lab and didn’t do any further work on it, that they didn’t try to replicate and expand on the research - combining other bat corona viruses with SARS, and that rather, a random wild virus suddenly emerged from a wet market to screw us over after jumping species several times and combine by total coincidence with SARS - you can totally believe that.

Most people living in the real world will realise though, that those scientists probably did continue and expand their research, probably did combine other corona viruses with SARS - this ONLY bsl-4 lab in China IS involved with making organisms exactly like the one they suddenly “found”, and that the “market” story is merely a hypothesis and could just be a cover story. What is the smoking gun for that statement? The REACTION of the Chinese government. The way they reacted is documented, and FACT. It obviously shows that they knew right away this is not “just the flu”.

Don’t let “experts” make you lazy to think.

It IS a fact that this lab in Wuhan is involved in very dangerous work.
It IS a fact that they were involved in creating chimeras of exactly the kind of combination COVID-19 turns out to be.
it IS a fact that this is “not just the flu”
and it IS a fact that nobody should be saying that to our citizens, especially with our HIV, TB, and diabetes numbers

I also want to put on record, that every single “expert” that ignores the work this lab in Wuhan is doing, and dismissing the possibility of even an accidental leak, is talking WAY too soon, about things they probably don’t fully understand, or want to understand, because it frightens them.
