BREAKING: No DAPL - US ARMY REFUSES TO GRANT EASEMENT - Pipeline will not be built under Missouri River!

But I will say this: As soon as the US Veterans said they were coming to support the Dakota Access Pipeline protests, and stand up to the Police State stealing Civil Rights and Due Process from the PEOPLE --- something shifted in the ethos and was FELT out there: 1-2 days after they started to show up, we hear this and --- I DON'T FIND THIS A COINCIDENCE AT ALL - with the shameful "media" in the mainstream coverage of this!

The incoming Trump administration for POTUS has made it clear they support the projects like this connected to Big Oil, and Trump owns/has owned shares in companies connected to this / other similar projects.

Remain vigilant. This is not over, and not for similar fights with other projects.

Remember also there are over 1.4 +/- oil spills a day and many are not even reported because they fall BELOW MINIMUM THRESHOLDS FOR REPORTING!

Trump also was backed by all the police statists and police unions - so that is another factor. And lastly again -- As I had said, with emphasis -- I find it no coincidence that as soon as the Veterans for Standing Rock started showing up en masse, the Army Corps of Engineers backed down. Typical gutless gov't policy games. They could have done that before people were assaulted with tax paid thugs w badges over the weeks and months.

It shows when people stand up en masse and demand their rights be acknowledged, and with Military Veterans beside them to enforce that -- the typical gutless politicians etc. back down. The odd good one who tries to do the good thing is then redeemed.

Celebrate a victory, but this is like the start of the Stanley Cup playoffs. It takes 7 games to win a lot of the time...... and always takes 4 games minimum.

Jo-Ellen Darcy said she based her decision on a need to explore alternate routes for the Dakota Access Pipeline crossing. Her office had announced on November 14, 2016 that it was delaying the decision on the easement to allow for discussions with the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, whose reservation lies 0.5 miles south of the proposed crossing.

Tribal officials have expressed repeated concerns over the risk that a pipeline rupture or spill could pose to its water supply and treaty rights.

"Although we have had continuing discussion and exchanges of new information with the Standing Rock Sioux and Dakota Access, it's clear that there's more work to do," Darcy said. "The best way to complete that work responsibly and expeditiously is to explore alternate routes for the pipeline crossing."

Darcy said that the consideration of alternative routes would be best accomplished through an Environmental Impact Statement with full public input and analysis.

The Dakota Access Pipeline is an approximately 1,172 mile pipeline that would connect the Bakken and Three Forks oil production areas in North Dakota to an existing crude oil terminal near Pakota, Illinois. The pipeline is 30 inches in diameter and is projected to transport approximately 470,000 barrels of oil per day, with a capacity as high as 570,000 barrels. The current proposed pipeline route would cross Lake Oahe, an Army Corps of Engineers project on the Missouri River.
