Secret Flight Attendant Job for Area 51 Now Open - Not Just Another Conspiracy!

An interesting article I saw today regarding Area 51...

According to USA Today, an ad was placed looking to hire those who are based in Nevada as a flight attendant. This is not your normal job ad though because the requirements are a bit out of the ordinary. If you are able to "keep secrets", have "top-secret clearance with the U.S. government", and be OK with working for an airline that "sort of doesn't exist," your dream job just opened up with Janet.

According to Wikipedia:

Janet is a highly classified, large fleet of passenger aircraft. The fleet is operated for the United States Air Force to transport military and contractor employees. It mainly serves the Nevada National Security Site (most notably Area 51 and the Tonopah Test Range), from their terminal at Las Vegas' McCarran International Airport.[1] The fleet's "Janet" call sign, from which its de facto name comes, is said to stand for "Just Another Non-Existent Terminal".[2][3]...Due to the airline's secretive nature, little is known about its organization. It is operated for the USAF by infrastructure and defense contractor AECOM through AECOM's acquisition in 2014 of URS Corporation, which acquired EG&G Technical Services in 2002, as derived from URS's history of providing this service to the Air Force and job openings published by URS.[4][5]

Business Insider and USA Today state that the main path this airline takes is from Las Vegas to an Area 51 secret base.

From that Source, the photo description is the following:

The Janet Airlines Terminal @ Gold Coast - transportation to Area 51 (Groom Lake) The majority of Area 51's workers live in Las Vegas and are flown to the base from the "Janet" terminal of McCarran International Airport. The terminal is unmarked, fenced and guarded by the same security unit that guards the perimeter of Area 51. Janet Airlines has a fleet of unmarked 737-200's. Each weekday there are from 10 to 20 flights that take workers to and from Area 51 and the Tonopah Test Range (Area 52). Tonopah Test Range is also within the restricted area, about 60 miles to the northwest of Area 51.

USA Today stated:

Among other items, the posting says applicants 'must be level-headed and clear thinking while handling unusual incidents and situations (severe weather conditions, including turbulence, delays due to weather or mechanicals, hijackings or bomb threats).'

If high-security clearance and bomb threats don't bother you, Business Insider listed the other considerations they would take along with the application to be hired:

  • Allegiance to the US.
  • Foreign influence.
  • Foreign preference.
  • Sexual behavior.
  • Personal conduct.
  • Financial considerations.
  • Alcohol consumption.
  • Drug involvement.
  • Emotional, mental, and personality disorders.
  • Criminal conduct.
  • Security violations.
  • Outside activities.
  • Misuse of information technology systems.

USA Today also jokingly stated how JANET was an acronym for "Just Another Non-Existent Terminal."

This is all very interesting because I was never aware of such an airline or flight path. Oddly enough, EG&G is involved and is a very controversial company...What do you guys think? Leave your comments and concerns in the comments below!

Be well!!

"We're running low on pilots due to abductions and strange happenings. Anyone want to signup and help us out?" lol

No thanks, I don't keep secrets very well

O.O Talk about anything in area 51 and you're arrested... If you even cross the line an inch you get arrested...

I'd be torn between curiosity and self-preservation.

I heard of the Janet airline years ago while doing research on Area 51. I heard of similar requirments back then as well

Funny when you see these sort of job listing pop up over every so often.

Trust me, when I was a flight attendant I saw the strange and unusual on regular flights.....so I can only imagine! LOL

I would have considered it a cool job 10 years ago but not when Babylon about to get blown up
