Every day I tell Patrick I would be happier in the country. He is a city boy, so that will never happen. I told him I thought it would be hard for the first few months, but that it would eventually be so much better. But that's just in my eyes, it would probably be some form of torture for him.

Everybody was like Patrick back in the 60's including myself and mom. I lived in the house about 300 yards east of this one back in 1963 (showing as white box below left of the road from grandma's living room window) and mom felt isolated after having married when she was 16 (in 1957). Dad was the only one working at Blount's lumber company.

The house I live in now as it appeared in 1940 behind my aunt June (left) and one of the North cousins. The area is still rural but a lot more brush and wooded now.
