Diplomatic Immunity: They Can Even Kill, That Nobody Can Touch Them

in news •  8 years ago  (edited)

The guys on the picture above are the 2 sons of the Iraqi ambassador in Portugal, Hussain Sinjari. They have 17 years old.

A few days ago they run over with the embassy car, a boy with 15 years old. After that, they decided to beat him even more, to the point that the face of this young Portuguese boy got destroyed.

The portuguese boy is in the hospital almost dying. What happened to this killers? NOTHING!

Vienna Convention - Total Immunity For Everyone

Vienna Convention gives immunity not only for the diplomat (Hussain Sinjari), but for his entire family and dog.

The only thing Portugal can do, is to ask for Iraq to remove the Immunity, and wait for them to complay with the request (will never happen).

They Can Even Kill, That Nobody Can Touch Them

Not many think about this very often, but diplomatic immunity means that even if they kill, or commit other crimes like rape or whatever you can think of, nobody can do anything.

They Are No Longer In Portugal, Ofcourse...

With all the heat this is getting in Portugal, they just got back to Iraq. The portuguese authorities can make them stay.

Some things shouldn't be allowed to have immunity. Specially when a crime is committed against others life. No matter the reason. They should be responsible for the acts!
My opinion not only in this case but in any other that happened or may happen in future.
