Bitcoin civil war. After 2 years of low profile fueding, rival divisions among the developers who play key roles in Bitcoin’s maintenance are set to adopt two competing software updates at the end of the month. That has raised the very real possibility that Bitcoin may be split in two parts, an unprecedented event that would send shocks through the $41 billion market.

Bitcoin has dropped because of the possible changes but it's not a big drop for those of us who have been around a few years. Alts are far more heavily down as most are just bitcoin clones with no real use cases. This may aid in the shake out and consolidation!

That is also my assessment of the Cryptomarket at the moment. All other cryptocurrencies are being affected by Bitcoin's downturn, which is caused by the uncertainty of what will happen after Bitcoin Fork or Segwit. We will all just have to ride to storm. Great time to buy some Etherum, while it's still under $200.

Your cat made me follow you. Also the crypto expertise and the bee photo. Cheers!

Many thanks for the follow. I hope to put more pics of the cat (Sami) on soon!

The market is in PANIC mode, ive never seen anything like it, some coins have gone down by 30% in 6 hours

I think it a combination of fear over a possible split (which are exaggerated IMHO) and a normal correction after the big rises we have experienced this spring. This could be a nice buying opportunity for long term investors

Getting ready for more turmoil so I can load up again. Though the crypto-coins rise and fall an pportunities like this does not often come around.

that's a nice post i upvoted and followed you keep it up the good work check out my blog i hope u like it

lol - disagree... it is just a normal dip. 3 years ago we would have been already at 800.

At this point all we can do is wait and see.

A split would be bad for everyone who owns BTC , I guess thats the reason why the price is going down at the moment . A lot of investors are nervous because of the upcomeing changes. I bought some Litecoin as a insurance , because I think Litecoin will profit the most , if Bitcoin fails.

I agree that a split would be bad news for holders as it complicates matters and makes crypto less desirable from an outsiders perspective. Having said that the Ethereum split didn't seem to hold it back at all.

yeah but it would take a long time to recover from this . And most important , Bitcoin would lose the market domination to ETH .

looks like it will all work out for Segwit :) Capture de région 6.png

Transferred most of my investment to Steem. I'm waiting this one out.

Crypto will renounce sooner than we will imagine

Thank @bitgeek to tell us about the possibility of Bitcoin to split. So yes we can only wait and see but i am kind of happy to not own any bitcoin. And also i do take advantage of the situation to get some coins at a good price. THX

I think all will be fine if you have secured your crypto and hold your private keys yourself instead of with a third party like Coinbase. If you don't have your private keys, your money isn't yours.
