This is the third time in the last 37 years when snowfall in Ain Sefra Town of Algeria and a white sheet spread over the red sand islands. In the year 2016, the famous "The Gateway to the Desert", in Ace Safra Town, Algeria, saw snowfall during Christmas, due to which residents had to face great difficulty. On the streets the ice sheet was slippery due to bedding. Passengers were quite upset due to stoppage of vehicles. In the year 2017, in January this year, there was a snowfall in this town.

Before this snowfall took place on 18 February 1979 in Ain Sefra. Then came Snow Storm for only half an hour. Ann Sefra is located at a height of 3,280 feet above sea level and is surrounded by the Atlas Hills.
