Which President Will Come Out On Top In The History Books, Jimmy Carter or Barack Obama?steemCreated with Sketch.

This was an interesting discussion I had recently in a cigar bar with some friends. We were discussing presidents of our time in which Jimmy Carter has held the title of worse overall president in regards to policies both foreign and domestic. It was an interesting topic amongst a very diverse political group but we all came to the same bipartisan conclusion which never happens.

It will take some time before the history books start start to reveal the answer but I believe we'll start seeing that story following the end of 2017.

He WAS, but Obama whupped him like a redheaded stepchild.
Obama now holds that title.

Go big or go home.

it's a race to the bottom of the barrel.

Let's just hope we've reached the bottom already.

if wishes were fishes...................

Yeah, BO done more damage than Carter could even imagine.

It's truly a shame. After our discussion the two buddies that voted for him both times picked up everyone's tab as a self-punishment gesture which was funny for all of us.

wow, I've never met anyone that would admit voting for him except one person here on steemit...

Think he fell off the top 50 witness list too lol

Yes, but in our group everybody knows where everyone stands on politics. We've had some pretty ugly while at the same time enjoyable debates.

I think Carter... but time will tell. Probably over the next couple years. The full extent of the damage done probably can't be known yet...

On a side note... did you see the TIL tag? There is a curation group that specifically rewards posts in that tag if you want to try some posts like that. Just a tip ;)

No, I'm not aware of the tag. Can you elaborate or point me to a post?
As always, thank you for posting.

Go to the home page and click on the TIL tag on the right... that or visit my page and look at my recent posts... they are almost all TIL posts... (TIL stands for Today I learned)
