So, Dyson is one of our clients where I work, and I can tell you that the man has not agreed to create anything unless he thinks he can fundamentally make it better. Thus the vacuum, hand dryer, hair dryer and now....an electric car is in the works.

Here are a few points from the article written by Matthew DeBord for Business Insider. You can read it here

  • Longstanding frustration with pollution led James Dyson to develop a plan for an electric car
  • His interest in the challenge dates back to the late 1980s
  • Like Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Dyson sees the automobile as a design problem inside a larger problem: climate change
  • James Dyson said his company would spend nearly $3 billion to introduce an all-electric car by 2020

What do you think? Does Tesla have anything to worry about?

Mr Dyson is a man that thinks outside the box. I would love to see his ideas for an electric car; probably ahead of his time compared to everyone else out there. He does have a good rep of getting the job done and usually at an affordable cost. In many ways he is like Steve Jobs - has an idea and pushes through until it works. Very intelligent man.

An interesting future awaits us with these kinds of people throwing their hats into planet mending technologies

Battery car Very good ....., thanks for sharing with us

a good post, I think it's very good, with the electric car we are not hard hard to refuel, so more sparingly,

Wow what a beautiful and eco-friendly car love it.

Considering Elon Musk already threw shade at Daimler's $1B investment announcement for being off by a factor of 10, I doubt a company with no previous infrastructure to create an automobile investing $3B will keep him up at night.

I agree, Tesla is going to rule but it's nice to have some healthy competition.
