--> This is how 13000 ft / 3950 mt looks right now : Global Warming?

So I drove up to this famous mountain pass in North India yesterday. Its called "Rohtang Pass" and is situated at an altitude of 13000 ft / 3950 meters. We are almost into November and yet the pass was completely devoid of snow.

I walked up the mountain to find traces of white stuff which was a left over of a small snowfall that occurred 4 days back - but thats about it.

The winds are usually high at this place - and yes, it was super cold. My Riseman showed a low of 4.1 degree Celsius at 1:30pm (in the shade)

Just as we were about to leave, we witnessed a minor snow shower (not snowfall) that lasted about five minutes only.

There is no prediction of any more snow in the next few days - seems this high altitude pass will remain open for another couple of weeks! How is the situation in your country?

Signing off with a selfie :P
