Bitcoin Comes To German Fast Food Giant Lieferando

German fast food delivery portal Lieferando has started accepting Bitcoin for orders, as the first player in the industry to do so.

As part of a package of updates released to users this week, Lieferando, owned by the international umbrella company Takeaway.com, added Bitcoin for all its partner restaurants.

The new payment method is available on both Lieferando’s website and via its app.

This seems like a pretty good fit... Paying online, rather than at the counter, helps to mitigate the slowness of bitcoin transactions.

I'm still hoping to see more businesses use altcoins like Ethereum or Litecoin which have faster transaction times. One day, if they are smart, they will use the fastest solutions like Steem or EOS for these small transactions.
