When the claim that Trump had "called all Mexicans rapists and drug dealers" first came out the skeptic in me asked "can anyone be that stupid?". So I just had to check it out personally.

I found out, that the quote was first misunderstood, then taken out of context and spread like wildfire.

Even if it was granted he said "they are" instead of "their" I have a hard time accepting someone is so daft as to interpret his sentence as "Mexicans are nothing but rapists and drug dealers".

Here's the quote verbatim:

"When Mexico (meaning the Mexican Government) sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. (pointing to the audience) They’re not sending you. (pointing again) They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems to us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people!"

As I said, I am not sure if he said "they are rapists" or "their rapists" in the end, but it still doesn't mean he said all Mexicans are rapists, or drug dealers.

I wonder what kind of sick and twisted logic can turn all that he said there, into "Mexicans are nothing but rapists and drug dealers". That just isn't correct, at all.

So much denial. He said what he said. If you can't see the racism in what this man said, you are either willfully ignorant or practicing cognitive dissonance. How is it that you can imagine a PBS Newshour anchor reporting on KKK infiltration of American police forces is racist, yet you can't see the blatant racism of a man who is supported and endorsed by every racist organization in the whole country? How can you not see how he is spreading fear and hatred of Mexicans with these words?

That's not the issue here though. Could you not move the goalposts all the time?

If he is so much of a racist, why should you lie about it, why can't you stick to the facts?

And that KKK thing, KKK can support anyone they want, it doesn't mean the guys KKK support support them back. For all I know KKK might support you without you knowing it. (If they really like Trump, they might in fact support you too for making these kinds of lies, because these kinds of lies about Trump saying something he didn't actually say ultimately make Trump look good.)

can't see the blatant racism of a man who is supported and endorsed by every racist organization in the whole country?

Know the association fallacy? Realize how you just invoked it?

So to clarify, whether Trump is a racist or not, speading such untruthful and inaccurate quotes as his, does not hurt Trump. It hurts you.

How can you not see how he is spreading fear and hatred of Mexicans with these words?

Because he wasn't talking about Mexicans, he was talking about illegal immigrants from Mexico (and post-quote, other countries too). He wasn't making racial remarks, he was calling for a stricter border control to root out criminals. There was nothing racial about the talk.

Why is it that every time a Trumpist defends the vile things that he says, they always end up saying "what he really meant was" or "he was actually talking about..."?
This conversation has derailed. I would like to get it back to the original point. The original point being that I can indeed find a thousand cases of racist policing in America. I will continue to post them until that becomes totally obvious to even the most skeptical of observers. Here's a link to the one I did today.

First of all, I am not a "trumpist", I don't even like the guy personally. But I have been amazed how low the left is willing to go in their crusade against the anti-Christ that they think Trump is.

I want a disclaimer here, as I am a liberal myself, and I've always been for truth and honesty first and foremost. Hearing all kinds of claims about how Trump is this and Trump is that, I needed to do some investigating myself, and while I did find Trump is not, or hasn't been very nice guy, most of the stuff I hear is just plain ridiculous. Just like the "all Mexicans are rapists, or drug dealers" quote.

That maybe, but sadly you didn't follow the rules.

I don't really give a shit about your rules, the new ones or the old ones. I knew you were going to weasel out of paying, so I never went into this project expecting payment. If it helps you sleep at night, make whatever rules you want. You're the only one buying your bullshit. I do take comfort in the fact that you are now willing to at least admit that it is possible to find a thousand cases of racist policing in the U.S. That's at least a little progress.

lets just thought experiment for a second here.

racism & segregation wasnt some natural thing. Poor Blacks and whites didn't naturally hate eachother. It was forced upon them by government. And yes over time the tensions did rise, but still it was state mandated.

PBS which stands for the public broadcasting system is state funded broadcasting... is exactly the network that displays state run propaganda.

You are persisting days after I told you I was done. Now you are crawling around my blog. It's creepy and rude.
I must have really gotten under your skin to get such a ridiculous reaction. I'm sorry the propagandists brainwashed you into thinking public television is a communist conspiracy intended to turn us all into gay Muslims. You seem like the type that has the potential to grow beyond such nonsense. The first step is to acknowledge that you have allowed yourself to be conscripted into a culture war, and they talked you into joining the losing team. Those who stand against progress and evolution never win, they only manage to slow things down for those of us trying to move civilization forward.
I need for this to be our final correspondence. I really do have better things to do with my time. I have led you to water. It is now up to you to drink.

only dogs drink from toilets... and yeah you may have said you were done but then you responded to something else on that thread. Instead of responding back to you after arguing with you for like 8 days, I decided to look at your page. I find it ironic that the first post i clicked on was the same exact argument with you getting stuck and then endlessly pivoiting and fouling. And yeah im sure you must have better things to self upvote, have a nice day
