Get ready for the Russians because they will come, nice and new and 'smart!' "Cuit Trump.
Before throwing a statement on Twitter, Trump is known to cancel his first visit to Latin America so he can focus on Syria.
The ruling suggests that the United States may be preparing for a larger military operation rather than a limited attack, the BBC's Washington, Barbara Plett Usher, reports.
However, after Trump released his cue, a number of White House officials chose to be cautious in saying.
Defense Secretary James Mattis said the United States is still reviewing alleged chemical attacks in Douma and the US military is alerting "to provide military options if it is appropriate as the president decides".
Later, a White House spokeswoman, Sarah Sanders, said the final decision had not been made and "all options are on the table".
Separately, French President Emmanuel Macron reveals that even if an attack occurs, the attack will target the "regime's chemical capabilities" of the Syrian government.
In Britain, sources told the BBC that Prime Minister Theresa May seemed ready to join the military action in Syria without seeking parliamentary permission.
Currently US Navy ships with control rockets, USS Donald Cook, are in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea and the European air traffic control agency, Eurocontrol, has warned all airlines flying in eastern Mediterranean to be alert given the possibility of launching missiles into Syria.
Another report mentions Russian warships have departed from the Navy base at the port of Tartus, Syria.
Russian refusal
From Russia, a number of officials have urged the West to halt military action plans to Syria. *
Russia's envoy to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia, insisted Washington DC would "assume responsibility" for any "illegal military adventure".
On Wednesday (11/04), Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Zasypkin repeated the threat that any missile threatening Russian personnel would be shot down and the launch site would be targeted.
Still on the same day, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova asked whether the Western attack plan aims to "wipe out the remnants of provocation quickly ... (so) the international supervisors can not get any evidence".
Several Syrian opposition activists, medical workers and emergency volunteers accused the attack on Douma on April 7 by government troops using a bomb containing toxic chemicals.
The Syrian-American Medical Community claims there are more than 500 people taken to medical centers with symptoms of "exposure to chemicals".
Symptoms that include difficulty breathing, blue skin, foaming mouth, burns, and aroma "like the smell of chlorine".
Estimates of the death toll from chemical allegations range from 42 to 60 people. Medical volunteers, however, say the number could be more because rescue teams have difficulty accessing the basement that some families use as a refuge from the bombing.
