Twin Bomb Explosion in Afghanistan, At least 21 people were killed

At least 21 people were killed including six journalists and dozens of others wounded after two twin bombs struck the Afghan capital Kabul.

According to officials of the Afghan Ministry of Health to the media, the explosion took place during rush hour, Monday morning, April 30, 2018, in the Shash Darak Kabul area.

"In the first explosion, a suicide bomber blew himself up near the National Security Directorate (NDS), which became the headquarters of the Afghan Intelligence Agency

The second blast lasted 20 minutes later with the arrival of health workers and journalists at the scene. "The bomb attacks left at least 21 people dead and wounded 27 others," a Health Ministry spokesman was quoted as saying by Al Jazeera.

Al Jazeera in a report from Kabul said the six journalists who were killed had conducted coverage after the first explosion. "He died from the second bomb explosion."

two other journalists also suffered minor injuries. Until now no one has claimed responsibility.

Afghanistan has repeatedly been hit by deadly bombs since ISIS began to fall out of positions in Iraq and Syria. The group is said to have chosen Afghanistan as a base for resistance.
