In this PC world we now live in, things like that simply cannot be said - men are always to blame is the current narrative and no one dare deviate from it. Maybe he thinks he is immune from such thinking because of his work in gay and lesbian rights, but, in this PC culture, people and groups are prone to turning on each other at the flick of a switch.
I think his comments may come back to haunt him.
One of Britain’s most treasured actors has spoken out about the Hollywood sex scandal. Sir Ian McKellen told Oxford University students at a recent talk that women who offer sex in return for acting work are also to blame.
