I'm still absolutely nowhere when it comes down to betting at the moment with another full unit loss on the matches yesterday and everything right now feels like flipping coins ending up at the wrong end. So I try to be cautious but at the same time this is something I just have to get through. Busy schedule on Sunday with 5 matches.
Sint-Truiden vs Anderlecht
Sint-Truiden has been an interesting team as they switched from an ultra-defensive style last season to a more forward approach under their new coach. The main issue however remains the lack of actual scoring power and both their matches ended in a 1-0 win. In week 1 this was a distance shot from Koita in minute 85 while in the 2nd week the goal came in minute 56' after which they crawed back. This was against Kortrijk who got crushed yesterday against Antwerp. Anderlecht somehow took the win against Antwerp at home last week after putting up a really bad performance against Union in week 1. Both are teams that are willing to go forward but don't yet seem to score easily and I'm expecting a fun match that can go both ways. Also here,

Cercle Brugge vs Genk
Genk so far has struggled even though I don't think they actually played bad. The main issue has been efficiency. They also are inbetween important Europa League qualifier matches and still are missing Heynen who is a key player. Right now for me they are a wait and see how their form of the day is team. Cercle so far is making true on their status as possible revelation with just a narrow loss which could have been more against Antwerp and a clean 2-0 deserved win over Charleroi. This should be a high-energy match with both teams wanting to go forward and I can see it going either way. The +0 and over 3 line seem appropriate. My main angle on Cercle is to possibly back them at home in the 1st half and also for them to create quite some corners. For now there are too many uncertainties for me and I'm sticking with

Eupen vs Club Brugge
Eupen against Genk where they took a surprise 0-1 win stayed well organised and never was in trouble or panicked. The week before at home they didn't look that impressive mostly because goalkeeper Nurudeen gave it away, He now has been replaced bt Slonina who should do well for Eupen. They also have been scoring at 300% with just 0.91 expected goals in 2 matches but 3 goals. Club Brugge seems to be picking up a better form after a shaky start and should have enough quality to always win this match even though they are inbetween Conference Legaue qualification matches. The fact that they already sealed that with a 5-1 home win against a weak team won't make it much of an issue. So 1.5 away odds I by default always stay away from and I'm not making an exception this time. So unless Club Brugge gets behind or fails to score a goal in the 1st half, I likely will be forced to stay away as taking a gamble on Eupen is not really an option.

Charleroi vs Standard
Both these teams missed their start and in particular, Standard really looked poor so far lacking som quality. This resulted in 2 deserved 1-0 losses with they having yet to score a goal which seems to be a major problem. For Charleroi this is similar with just 1 goal scored in 2 matches. I don't expect any of these teams to go all in taking risks right from the start and I'm sticking to my Charleroi Under narrative. I ended up taking 0.3 units in
1st Half Under 1.25 @ 1.734 and I'm sticking with just that for now.
Westerlo vs AA Gent
AA Gent is the hot team in form right now with 2 strikers who score like it's nothing. They took 6 on 6 so far with a narrow 0-1 away win against Mechelen where they got lucky as the home team missed a late penalty and they took a 3-2 win over Kortrijk. So by no means do their results indicate an untouchable form. They also seem to play way more forward and adventurous at home while away a possible trend could be that it's more controlled. This however doesn't really show from stats last season so it might just be an anomally. Betting Under however never is an option. Westerlo is a team with great potential and a big transfer budget that was used. However, after 2 matches they are still left with just 1 point which came in a 2-2 draw against Eupen where they got giftend the 2 scored goals. So for now, they only are a team with potential but no indication that they are worth taking a bet on yet. My 3 options for this match are to bet Gent and/or the over and potentially also Westerlo +1 corners. For now though, I'm just waiting to see how the match goes before potentially getting in.
